Each participating taxing unit — which includes the Flying L PUD — may submit one nominee, by board resolution, to fill the vacant position on the Central Appraisal District (CAD) Board. The Flying L PUD Board will vote on its nominee at the March 9th meeting and we are to submit the selected nominee to the Bandera Central Appraisal District Chief Appraiser no later than March 16, 2026.
After the nomination period closes, the Chief Appraiser will, within five days, provide the CAD Board of Directors with a list of all nominees submitted by the participating taxing units. The CAD Board of Directors will then elect, by majority vote of its members, one nominee to fill the vacancy. Submitting a resume to the Flying L PUD and to CAD is not required, but is strongly encouraged. A resume helps the PUD Board and the CAD Board better understand your interest in serving and will assist them in selecting the most qualified nominee if more than one application is received.

Yancey has received billing info from MOC. Payments may be mailed without late fees. Mail check or money order only. Include full copy of your latest bill to Flying L PUD, PO Box 127, Yancey TX 78886. Full Account setup info coming soon.
MOC disabled electronic bill pay earlier than scheduled, which may be causing payment issues or late notices. The PUD is actively working to resolve this. NO late fees will be assessed during this period. No action is required at this time. Updates to follow.
